Yansley & Sega Nou Zanset is a group of 12 passionate friends who share a deep love for making music, with a special focus on Sega.
Led by the captivating voice of Yansley, the band includes other talented members such as Emilio Allat (ravanne), Julio Allat (ravanne), Ryan Cassadin (ravanne), Garry Bellepeau (ravanne), Daren Romeo (bass), Leeroy Marmitte (solo guitar), Stephano Margoton (maravanne), Darwin Romeo (rhythm guitar), and Corans Laventure (triangle).
Having been on the Mauritian music scene for several years, they have earned their reputation through sheer hard work and dedication to their craft. However, before they gained fame, they started their musical journey by performing at events like weddings, anniversaries, and festivals, where they did renditions of famous Mauritian Sega artists.
Hailing from the village of Pointe aux Piments, their music is infused with the rich local influences that have captivated the hearts of Mauritians. Additionally, their musical journey began at a young age, and they have been singing together since childhood. Their first public performance in their native village, two years ago, drew favourable attention, which became the turning point that kick-started their promising career.
Their friendship forms the very core of Sega Nou Zanset, as they have grown up together and evolved into exceptionally talented artists. This collaboration led them to win four awards on four local radio stations for their debut single, solidifying their presence in the Mauritian music industry.
Their biggest hit, “Sakouy Li Amor,” penned by Denis Fricot, has been a breakthrough in their career, with over 3 million views on YouTube.
