DJ Assad
Adam Assad, also known as DJ Assad, was born on 14 December 1982 in France from Mauritian Parents. He is a famous international disc jockey and music producer. Assad was always passionate about music and tried different music styles, from Hip Hop, Rock, House and Soul. At only eighteen, he met with DJ Abdel and DJ Godjothai who introduced him to the world of DJing.
At only 20 years old, he made his debut with DJ Milouz in 2002 and created the concept of “Royal Mix” on Radio FG. From there, the Mixtape FG concept was born and he became a resident DJ with the popular station from 2002 to 2006. He eventually moved to French radio station Fun Radio where he was given a regular spot on Saturdays from 7 to 9 pm to present his “Royal Mix”.
In 2010, he released his first album ‘Playground’ featuring a lot of various artists, both locally and internationally. During his career, Dj Assad made headlines by collaborating with a lot of big names of the musical scene, including Willy William, Greg Parys, Big Ali, Nadia Lindor, Craig David, Mohombi, T Garcia and many more.
DJ Assad remains a Mauritian at heart and never misses an opportunity to visit or perform in Mauritius.
