About the Event: EQUINOXES
Poetry, equestrian art, singing and piano: a quartet based on the work of Jean Fanchette
For the first time in Mauritius, this quartet combines the poems of Jean Fanchette (Rose Hill 1932 - Paris 1992) with equestrian art, lyrical singing and piano. Alongside the horse, you will find equestrian Solenn Heinrich, actress Anna D’Annunzio, pianist Anna Krempp, and American soprano Fé Avouglan. Save the dates for this out-of-the-ordinary event: 27, 28 and 30 April 2023 at the Château de Labourdonnais.
In EQUINOXES, the horse is one of the four voices that embody Jean Fanchette's poetry, besides the text, the lyrical song and the piano. The horse alone embodies the main theme of the show: resilience through art and nature in a sensory approach. Using sign language, the horsewoman Solenn Heinrich opens the way to poetry for the horse.
If the artist horse, Vinci (trained by Noémie Barragan of Horse Pro) lives in Mauritius, the 4 human artists come especially from France for EQUINOXES: Anna D’Annunzio (French theatre and TV actress), Solenn Heinrich (equestrian for 10 years with Bartabas, internationally renowned equestrian theatre), Fé Avouglan (American soprano), Anna Krempp (concert pianist and teacher at the Opéra-Comique national theatre in Paris).
During this multidisciplinary show, the musical repertoire will include works by Frédéric Chopin, Franz Schubert, Erik Satie, Béla Bartók, Gustav Mahler, George Gershwin and even the unforgettable lullaby of the Rivière Tanier.
So horse lovers and music lovers, what are you waiting for? Book your tickets as soon as possible for EQUINOXES, exclusively at the Château de Labourdonnais!
