Sarah Leboeuf, also known as Sayaa, has already managed to capture the attention of people with her talent. Sayaa has always had a strong passion for singing, and she turned it into a job. Today, she can state with pride that she succeeded as she followed her heart.
Sayaa is renowned for her unique approach of writing and producing her original creations and reprise of some of the already existing reggae and seggae songs. She rose to fame through her songs “Sant pou la mizer”, which she co-wrote with Jaymie, her daughter, and “Ask dem” are two of her biggest hits.
The talented artist bagged hundreds of thousands of views on social media and on streaming platforms which certified her place as one of the most loved Mauritian artists in the industry.
Sayaa has been singing since her childhood and through her dedication to her craft, she successfully secured second place in the Children’s category of the Star 2010 music competition, organised by Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
One of Sayaa’s most cherished moments of her career is when her 8-year old daughter Jaymie, performed with her on stage at N’Joy. Together, mother and daughter sat down to brainstorm suitable lyrics and created a masterpiece so delightful to the ears and the soul. A memory she will always treasure.
