Crossbreed Supersoul Biography

Founded in 2004, Crossbreed Supersoul emerged from the bond of five friends: Vincent Brasse (acoustic guitar & lead vocals), Roro Constantin (lead guitar), Armand Gachet (bass), Laurent Blackburn (rhythm guitar & backing vocals), and Guylain Blackburn (drums).

Rather than chasing revolutionary statements, the band focused on evoking raw emotion through melody—an energetic blend of rock infused with moments of anger, joy, and love. Their sound was defined by powerful guitar work and heartfelt lyrics that resonated deeply with audiences.

Their breakthrough came in 2005 with the single “Be Mine,” which premiered during their live debut Live at the Banana Beach Club. The song catapulted them into the spotlight, quickly establishing Crossbreed Supersoul as one of Mauritius’s most beloved bands. In 2007, they released their more polished studio album A Letter to G, which featured the unforgettable track “Didapdap.”
