Alain Ramanisum

Alain embarked on his musical journey at a remarkably young age, making his mark in the music industry. His initiation began as the pianist for the renowned band Cassiya when he was just 15. Subsequently, Alain carved out a flourishing solo career, marked by numerous hits and albums.

One of Alain’s most iconic tracks, ‘Li Tourner,’ remains a timeless anthem, echoing through the air at diverse social gatherings, from elegant balls and weddings to lively festivals across the entire island of Mauritius. This song transcended borders, capturing the attention of DJ Assad and Willy William.

Collaborating with Alain, they unveiled a remix of this classic hit in 2013, which quickly became a sensation on radio waves and in clubs, captivating audiences not only in Mauritius but also in France. Its immense popularity was duly recognized with a prestigious Gold Award (Disque d’Or).

With an impressive collection of approximately 15 albums, Alain stands out as a pivotal figure in Mauritian sega. His music authentically mirrors the multicultural essence of the island, particularly highlighted through the incorporation of the Hindi language.

Whether seamlessly infusing Mauritian sega into the classic Indian hit ‘Kia Hua’ or skillfully blending Hindi in ‘Aao Nacho,’ Alain showcases his artistic versatility. His extensive repertoire spans from vibrant dance floor fillers to sega compositions that evoke deep emotional resonance.
