On May 9, Alina Gasy will bring the Malagasy community in Mauritius together for a night dedicated to Malagasy music and culture.

There are evenings when Mauritius feels familiar, yet something is missing. A melody overheard somewhere, a Malagasy word spoken in passing — and memories return instantly: Antananarivo, family gatherings, the unmistakable atmosphere of the island, and celebrations that stretched late into the night.

For many Malagasy living in Mauritius, those memories remain vivid. The music, the laughter, the shared moments — the kind of atmosphere that only a genuine Malagasy gathering can create. Alina Gasy aims to recreate that feeling for one evening.

On stage, DADI LOVE & LJO will perform live alongside their musicians and dancers, delivering the rhythms and melodies that have marked many Malagasy celebrations. DJ Junot will take over the decks to keep the dancefloor alive until the early hours, while Patou will guide the evening and maintain the festive atmosphere throughout the night.

The event promises to recreate the spirit of a night out in Antananarivo, bringing together music, dance, and a community eager to reconnect with the sounds and energy of Madagascar.
