Manu Desroches, an extraordinary guitarist with a golden touch, is set to take the spotlight at Dreamers! 2024 heralds his ascension: having just unveiled his single “La Terre” (absolutely stunning), the first glimpse of his highly anticipated debut album, eagerly awaited with fervour and anticipation.

A charismatic presence in the AnneGa and Ribongia spectacles, Manu Desroches steps into the forefront as the star of what promises to be a mesmerizing live performance. After a decade of diverse exploration spanning traditional percussion, jazz fusion, blues, oriental, and pop, his inaugural album encapsulates his world into music, infused with wisdom and poetic resonance: “It’s a vibrant homage to life and a heartfelt plea for the protection of our neglected nature.”

Lionkklash

When it comes to dedicated Mauritian artists, Lionkklash stands at the forefront. A multi-talented individual, he wears many hats as an author, singer, composer, rapper, poet, dancer, slammer, MC, radio host, and activist. Since the turn of the millennium, Lionkklash has been a prolific force, embarking on numerous creative ventures.

merging from his roots with the Ghetto Boyz and OSB, Lionkklash swiftly carved out a prominent position, rising as a luminary within the slam scene and securing the runner-up title in Mauritius. His debut album, “Sanzman D’Akor,” began an illustrious career. Guided by his mentor Dagger Kkila, Lionkklash has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Blakkayo, Tritonic, Philippe Thomas Syndicate, Menwar, and, more recently, Babani Soundsystem and Fusional Mind, notably remembered for their performance at “DREAMERS: La Nuit du Musée.”

In 2019, Lionkklash penned and performed the renowned anthem “Legend” for the Island Games. In addition to his musical prowess, Lionkklash’s altruistic endeavours shine through as he serves as a slam teacher for disadvantaged youth, an educator in La Vallette, an advocate for the LGBTQ community, and actively collaborates with NGOs such as CUT and Ailes. His role as a jury member for “Deba Klima” further exemplifies his commitment to fostering artistic expression and social progress.

Undoubtedly, Lionkklash possesses a heart of gold. At Dreamers, an esteemed lineup will join him, including Philippe Thomas, Steeve Laridain, Mervin Laval, and Christophe Bertin. Here’s to the enduring spirit of Dreamers!

Nina Hellis

Nina Hellis shares a longstanding relationship with La Isla, a connection that ignited back in 2022 during the fourth edition of the LA ISLA 2068 festival. It was a groundbreaking moment as the Mauritian DJ, renowned for her fervent passion for pianos, seamlessly blended singing, live music, and a DJ set, setting ablaze an already fiery atmosphere.

In 2023, the momentum continued with electrifying performances at “Dreamers: La Fête de la Musique” held at the IFM, followed by a memorable showcase at We Love Maurice atop the scenic heights of Crève-Cœur. Each event served to expand Nina’s captivating Pop-House universe, a testament to her ever-evolving musical journey.

Looking ahead to 2024, what lies in store for Nina Hellis? It’s a year brimming with possibilities, ripe for musical creation and pushing the boundaries of originality with her innovative DJ-Live concept.

As Dreamers approaches, Nina is gearing up to deliver an unforgettable performance, armed with her trusty DJ controller, drum sampler, microphone, and, of course, her beloved piano. With the stage set on the sands of Lagoon Attitude, it’s evident that Dreamers is poised to culminate in an unforgettable fusion of sound and ambiance.

Ems

Meet Emmy and Marine, the dynamic duo known as Ems! Pioneers of the design and crafts brand “Sa Landrwa La” since its inception in 2021, these two sisters embarked on a journey of creativity and innovation, starting with their foray into mural art in 2022. Their guiding principle? “Positivity and light” infuse every stroke of their artistic expression.

For Dreamers, the Ems duo has taken on the challenge of transforming a 2.40m by 2.40m panel in front of the Marine Discovery Center. Drawing inspiration from their surroundings, they will capture the essence of the nearby lagoon at Anse la Raie, promising to bring a touch of coastal magic to the event.

Lagoon Attitude Hotel

As the flagship embodying Attitude Hotels’ dedication to the environment and spearheading the “Positive Impact” program initiated by the group in 2020, the 4-star Lagoon Attitude Hotel will serve as the idyllic backdrop for the Dreamers event, Pieds dans le Sable. The specific venue within the hotel is situated opposite the Marice Discovery Centre, a renowned socio-educational facility committed to preserving the marine ecosystem of the Anse la Raie lagoon. This endeavour is just one of several initiatives this socially responsible hotel has undertaken, demonstrating its commitment to working closely with the local community.
