DJ Ash
DJ Ash was born on 25 June 1997 and his real name is Ashay Boodooa. He started mixing at a very young age since his passion for music was greater than his studies. DJ Ash learned mixing through the help of some of his DJ friends, such as Mastik Frank, Prince Hans, Akshay Chooramun, Nicolius and Afro Junkies.
He started his musical career as a producer as his dream was always to produce his own music. Using different software available, he created his own mixtapes and EPs which gained international recognition on Soundcloud by artists such as MastikSoul, GTA, Major Lazer.
In 2015, DJ Ash was already playing on the deck of the biggest clubs on the island. His remix of Roberto’s song Amarulah reached over 1.3 million views on XorksTV’s YouTube channel. He was then noticed by Jimmy Gassel, who offered him to join his label, Dj Bing Prod. Feeling motivated and well guided, DJ Ash got only better with time and gained more popularity, both locally and internationally. He played in Bora Bora and even in Tahiti. He really loves to play Tahiti and does share his love for the performance he has there.
DJ Ash released several mixtapes and created a loyal fanbase. His Youtube channel has around 39.6K subscribers and his videos have more that 27K views. He entertained the public during several big music festivals during the last 3 years. DJ Ash is also very connected to his fans via social media, and he recently made a buzz on Tiktok with his remix of the song “Zezi” using the lyrics and his laughs.
