Kavi Joganah
Kavi Joganah comes from a family of talented musicians, and he grew up to be one of them. His father, Ram Joganah, has taught him the ABC’s of music from a young age. He has crafted the acquired talent into a budding career, emerging as one of the top sega artists in Mauritius.
Ever since he was a youngster, Kavi has had various opportunities to share his work to a massive audience on many platforms, including social media. Since then, he has built a strong fan base who stand strong by him and truly appreciate what he does.
In 2019, he became part of the Discover Mauritius™ Talents and got to feature his chef d’oeuvre on Talents Corner. The same year, he went on to win the First Prize in the Music Category at the first Edition of ARTA Indianoceanika, which took place at Jin Fei.
Kavi, alongside Ram Joganah and other well known members, is also part of the Grup Latanier, a popular musical group in Mauritius that was established in 1979. Fast forward a few decades, the group is still very influential in denouncing poverty, political unfairness, banes, culture among other wrongdoings through their songs.
Today, Kavi Joganah is recognised as a prestigious young sega-man who preserves local heritage and raises awareness through his compositions. He has come back stronger after a long break from singing & song-writing; which means you can now expect a better version of him and more super hits that’s going to break the internet and resonate all around the island.
