Renowned classical pianist Kenneth Babajie has developed a deeply personal approach to the piano. His distinctive understanding of sound, colour and rubato creates a rich palette of nuances, much like a painter working with colour. Every note and chord conveys emotion with remarkable sensitivity, revealing performances that are both virtuosic and poetic.
Holder of the prestigious LRSM and FRSM piano diplomas from ABRSM, Kenneth Babajie also holds a BSc in Political Science. His musical training included studies with Denis Weber at the Conservatoire de Cannes from 2000 to 2002. In 2019, he further developed his skills through two weeks of masterclasses at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he worked with renowned professors.
A teacher and freelance pianist, Kenneth Babajie has performed extensively in Mauritius for nearly 30 years, both as a soloist and as an accompanist and chamber musician. His extensive stage experience and passion for music shine through in every performance.
