Matias Duval, known to many under his stage name DJ Matias, is often referred to as one the best talents in Mauritius’ Techno scene. He started freelancing as a DJ in 2011 and left his mark with powerful sets blended with unique sounds.
His techno sets are full of hypnotic, deep and heavy grooves and he has also played alongside various international artists like Hernan Cattaneo, John Acquaviva, Grouch, Popof, Darlyn Vlys, and Los Suruba. The aesthetics of his own finest selection of tracks earned him an excellent reputation over the years.
With the support of the pioneers of Electronic Music in Mauritius, Matias climbed to the top and he intends to keep learning and improving. DJ Matias is now a name that can be heard at many festivals and attracts many Mauritians. He was also nominated for the Best DJ of the Year at the MMA 2020.
