Nancy Desrougere

Nancy Desrougere is one of the most distinctive female voices in Mauritian séga. Originally from Petite-Rivière, she began singing in the choir of the Cœur Immaculé de Marie parish, where her passion for music first took root. Her powerful and recognisable voice soon established her as a prominent figure on the Mauritian music scene. She later pursued a solo career, releasing several albums and projects, including L’Amitié, Follement Amoureuse, Diva Séga, Experience Séga, Diaspora Créole, Dizan Deza Leker Brize and Délivrez-Nous Du Mal.
Her career has also taken her beyond Mauritius, with tours in Europe and Australia. Nearly three decades after her debut, she remains active on stage, keeping her music alive for audiences across generations.
