Olivier Brique Biography

Olivier Brique, the son of the famous Sega singer of the 80’s, Carino has rose to fame imminently and managed to win the hearts of thousand of Sega and reggae fans through his popular songs like “Chéridou”, “Dalon dalonne” et “I Love You” (2013), “Mi na le love”, “Souvenir”, “Mo lamour” and so on.

At 16, he sang his first song “Sava” at Saint-Paul in Reunion island. He debuted as a Professional singer by performing in Hotels around Mauritius after being initiated to play musical instruments by his father and Bruno François, who is the drummer for the famous Band Cassiya. He revealed that his father and his master Gims, whom he idolises, inspired him to become a successful artist.

His profound interest in making music started at the age of 9 while listening to his father’s music. His first inspiration was Lucky Dube who was very famously known as “The King of Reggae”. Since then, he has collaborated with big names in the local music industry like Mederice, Alain Ramanisum, Toulou, Ti Barth, Ôtentik Groove, Cassiya, Desiré François and even got to the international scene, notably through his Europe tour for his second solo album release.

His two albums “Mon Sel Rézon” (2015) and “Mon System” (2019) were highly successful upon release and allowed Olivier Brique to perform on several stages in Reunion Island and abroad such as France and UK.
