Patyatann, a music project that originated in Mauritius, now unites five exceptionally versatile musicians: Sarasvati Mallac, Anthony Bouic, Kan Chan Kin, Nitish Boojhawon, and Stephan Paul.
The group’s journey commenced in 2012, when they converged to craft a distinctive musical narrative. The name “Patyatan” originates from the Mauritian Creole language and literally translates to “We didn’t anticipate it.” This selection aptly mirrors the exceptional voyage of the band and its distinctive musical genre.
