Solda Nast
At the Bill’s, music is a family affair passed down from generation to generation. Solda Nast and even his brother Lyonman, were immersed into the musical universe of their father, the late Emmanuel Bill, known as Ras Mayul. The latter is an emblematic singer, writer and composer of seggae and reggae music in Mauritius.
Lulled by music since his early childhood, it was only in 2017, at the age of 16, that Solda Nast began to make a name for himself. It is no surprise that today, Solda Nast is following in his father’s footsteps while developing his own style – the Mauritian Afrobeat.
The Mauritian public discovered this young artist a few years ago with his hit titles ”Ena Lamur Dan Lair”’, with Helix Dynasty, “Loin Loin” featuring Montana and Tracy Diamond and especially “Cheri Coco”.
During his career, he has collaborated with several other local artists such as Tii Alexandre, DJ LO’IC, AVIS S & Sish, and Ti Dams amongst others, but he doesn’t plan to stop here.
Influential artists like Dadju, Maitre Gims, Blakkayo and Bigg Frankii have helped Solda Nast shape his music style: afrobeat with Mauritian touch and strong lyrics inspired by the reality of life, love, and his deep feelings.
The first time he went on the scene, he knew that’s all he wanted to do. It’s very difficult to leave the stage when you’ve had a taste of it, admitted Solda Nast, for whom music is his way of living and his reason to live!
