About the Event : L'Or, la Myrrhe et l'Encens - 2nd Edition
Free for children under 3 years old
Following the success of its first edition, L’Or, la Myrrhe et l’Encens returns on 18 December at J&J Auditorium for a second edition centred around Christmas, love, singing, music and togetherness.
Presented through an unprecedented collaboration between The Well Sega Jazz Rock Gospel live events producer, ICHOS Production Ltd, Charles Michael Photography, with the support of Adeline Forget and Tony Ah Yu from Les Resto du Coeur d’Albion, the event offers a musical journey around Christmas carols and the spirit of gold, myrrh and frankincense, the three gifts offered by the Three Wise Men to baby Jesus.
Beyond its religious dimension, Christmas is also a time when families and loved ones come together, sharing moments of joy, laughter and creating new memories.
Through songs that have stood the test of time and travelled beyond the walls of churches, this second edition invites you to rediscover a warm atmosphere and that unique and magical Mauritian spirit of celebration.
This second edition will also feature a special tribute to Gilbert Thomas, with The Well Band and Loïc Thomas paying tribute to him through a dedicated musical moment, in memory of his commitment, presence and contribution to this beautiful journey.
Gold, a symbol of royalty, myrrh, associated with redemption, and frankincense, a symbol of divinity, give this show its identity, combining music, vocals and a live orchestra.
For this second edition, The Well Band will be joined by several musicians, singers and guest artists for a rich musical celebration. From reimagined traditional Christmas carols to live performances, the evening will put singing and the festive magic of Christmas at the heart of the celebration.
And there’s more: you could also have the chance to leave with a surprise gift! Make a donation towards the The Well Sega Jazz Rock Gospel brochure (minimum Rs 100) and receive 3 free raffle tickets per Gold, Silver or Bronze category. The more brochures you get, the more your chances of winning increase! The draw will take place just after the interval, with 3 lucky families winning in each Gold, Silver and Bronze category.
For the lucky winners attending with their friends and/or family, the dress code is open, except for white.
In addition to the raffle draw, anyone with a valid ticket to attend the Christmas Carol will also have the opportunity to take part in a professional photoshoot. Photoshoot prices will vary according to the ticket category: Gold, Silver or Bronze, and the same dress code will apply: anything except white.
Whether you are celebrating Christmas with family, friends or simply for the pleasure of seeing and listening to a live orchestra, L’Or, la Myrrhe et l’Encens invites you to share an evening of love, peace and togetherness, Mauritian style.
