CHRISTOPHE MAÉ

For nearly two decades, Christophe Maé has carved out a unique place in the French music scene. Influenced by soul, blues and world music, he developed a passion for music at an early age and learned to play several instruments, including the guitar, harmonica and violin. These diverse influences would later help shape a sound that is instantly recognisable.

Before achieving mainstream success, Maé honed his craft on stages across southern France, performing in bars, local festivals and small concert venues. He first came to the attention of a wider audience in the mid-2000s through the hit musical The Sun King (Le Roi Soleil), where his distinctive voice and natural stage presence quickly stood out.

In 2007, he reached a new milestone with the release of Mon Paradis. Driven by hit singles such as “On s’attache” and “Belle Demoiselle”, the album became a major success and firmly established his solo career. It was followed by On trace la route (2010), Je veux du bonheur (2013), L’Attrape-rêves (2016), La Vie d’artiste (2019) and C’est drôle la vie (2023), albums that reflect his talent for blending heartfelt songwriting with rich musical influences.

With Fête foraine, released in 2026, Christophe Maé continues his musical journey through a collection of more personal songs while staying true to the authenticity that has earned him a loyal following throughout the French-speaking world.
