AFROVIBES: Dadju x Ayra Starr

Opened in 2001, the Germain Comarmond Stadium in Bambous has firmly positioned itself as a central hub for major musical events and activities. For the Afrovibes concert, the organizers aim to leave a lasting impression with a grand stage and an unparalleled technical setup, matching the magnitude of this extraordinary musical experience.

The Afrovibes concert offers three ticket categories: Normal, VIP, and VVIP.

VVIP ticket holders will enjoy quick access to the event, avoiding queues. They’ll have the best spots, offering an exceptional view of the stage and unparalleled proximity to the artists. Furthermore, a dedicated bar with hostesses will be at their service, ensuring top-notch quality assistance.

VIP ticket holders enjoy similar privileges to VVIP, including access to a dedicated bar with hostesses. The only difference is that VIPs will have standard event entry and will be located just after the VVIP area.

Normal ticket holders will have standard event entry, positioned slightly behind the VIP area. They will still fully immerse themselves in the vibrant concert atmosphere.

International

Dadju (France)

Dadju, born Nsungula Djuna, hails from a musical family as the younger brother of the renowned Maître Gims. Unlike his early years, Dadju didn’t initially gravitate towards music, despite his father being a singer, his grandfather a musician, and his mother passing on sub-Saharan traditional and religious songs.

Interestingly, Dadju discovered his true passion for music while accompanying his older brother to the recording studio. One day, while having fun recording a song with Maître Gims, he discovered his true calling.

In 2012, Dadju made his foray into the music industry by signing with the prestigious Wati B label, the same label as his brother Gims and the group Sexion d’Assault. His breakthrough came with his collaboration on the track “WatiBigAli” alongside rapper Big Ali.

Later, Dadju joined forces with rapper Abou Tall, also under the same label, to form The Shin. They released the album “Indéfini,” which achieved gold certification.

Despite the success of The Shin, Dadju and Abou Tall decided to take a hiatus to focus on their solo careers. Dadju worked on his debut album, “Gentleman 2.0,” promoting it through music videos on YouTube and Instagram.

In 2017, his single “Reine” became a massive hit, topping iTunes charts and accumulating over 350 million views on YouTube.

Then, in 2019, Dadju unveiled his second album, “Poison ou Antidote,” often abbreviated as “POA.”

Two years later, in 2021, he collaborated with his brother Gims and singer Slimane for a heartfelt rendition of the song “Belle” as a tribute to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris, achieving great success in France.

Fast forward to 2022, Dadju made a remarkable comeback with his third album titled “Cullinan,” featuring hit singles such as “King,” “Picsou” with Gazo, and “Toko Toko” with Ronisia. Beyond his music career, Dadju also took on the lead role in the romantic comedy film “Ima,” directed by Nils Tavernier.

Ayra Starr (Nigeria)

Ayra Starr, an undeniable powerhouse, was born in Benin Republic and spent her formative years moving between the coastal charm of Cotonou and the vibrant cultural hub of Lagos, Nigeria.

On January 22, Ayra Starr made a stunning entry into the music scene with her self-titled EP, showcasing five mesmerizing tracks. The standout hit, “Away,” created waves, even resonating strongly in the UK. However, the peak of Ayra Starr’s musical journey was on the horizon, marked by the release of her debut studio album, “19 & Dangerous,” just a few months later.

Arguably her magnum opus, “Rush,” became the anthem of 2022, amassing a staggering 239 million views on YouTube. Often hailed as the Afrobeat Princess, Ayra Starr is celebrated for her exceptional repertoire, including tracks like “Bloody Samaritan,” “Sability,” “People (ft. Libianca),” and “Away” among others.
