About the Event : AURUS

AURUS, also known as Bastien Picot, will showcase his transcendent Maloya music in an orchestral and percussive pop concert at the Institut Français de Maurice on March 1st in Rose-Hill. It promises to be an enchanting fusion worth discovering.

This marks the inception of Aurus's ambitious new project, led by the artist behind the pseudonym, Bastien Picot. Bastien, a musician with a radiant aura and captivating musical intricacies, navigates a creative path reminiscent of a fusion between James Blake and Woodkid.

PRISM is conceptualised as a musical mosaic, consisting of four EPs, each representing a different facet of his artistry and curated by various producers, including Reunion islanders Moana Apo and Mathéo Techer.

Through the magic of live performance, these tracks come together to form a cohesive whole, underscoring the notion that the richness of a collective arises from the uniqueness of its components. This solidifies AURUS's position as one of the most captivating artists of his generation.

The show starts with Manu Desroches, delivering his debut single "La Terre" in a raw, stripped-down arrangement, promising an explosive sonic experience.

What to expect?

  • A musical journey with AURUS, blending Maloya, tribal groove, jazzy chords, and electro elements, all intertwined with the captivating vocals of Bastien Picot.
