It's going to zouk in 2023!
Calling all Zouk lovers! Festival Zouk invites you to come and dance to your favourite hits, which have thrilled many. Renowned artists in the world of zouk await you at the Shotz Night Club, Flic En Flac on January 06, 2023.
Kickstart 2023 with the Zouk Festival, scheduled on a Friday night at Shotz! One of the most mythical nightclubs of Mauritius will give zouk fans a sensational moment, with the emblematic figures of zouk such as Slaï, Zouk Machine and Marvin.
You will have the chance to go back to the 90s with the zouk rhythms of the Guadeloupean group Zouk Machine. They will perform their most popular songs, including "Eskize Mwen" and "Maldòn" (music in the skin), which are among the best selling zouk songs of all time in France.
To further set the dance floor ablaze, Slaï, a leading figure in zouk, with a soft voice, will dazzle you with his romantic lyrics including hits like "Flamme" and "Dernière Danse". And that's not all! The legendary Marvin will also be present at the Festival Zouk. With his melodious voice, he will take you on an intense musical journey.

About the artists
Zouk Machine
Zouk Machine is a girl group/trio from Guadeloupe, best known for the song Maldòn (la musique dans la peau), which reached number one in singles sales for nine consecutive weeks in 1990 and went platinum with over one million copies sold.
Zouk Machine won a gold record in 1991 with “Kréol” and went on to record hits such as “DJ”, “Sa ké cho”, “AC” and “Koman”. The group continued with concerts and tours with renowned artists, including Kassav, and performances in the largest venues.
Marvin
Marvin started at the age of seventeen, in his father’s band, in the south of France. He then honoured a contract in Thailand and took advantage of this short exile to produce his own interpretations of French classics by legendary singers such as Charles Aznavour or Renaud. It is only after his return that he tried his luck with zouk. He then worked to create his own unique musical genre, a mix of zouk, soul and R&B.
Slaï
He is an artist of Guadeloupean origin who grew up in the Parisian suburbs. Slaï created a label with Guy Bordey, an author, composer and singer of West Indian zouk. In the course of his career, he embarked on numerous concerts on Reunion Island and in the West Indies and gradually made a name for himself afterwards. In 1998, “Flamme”, went on to have a dazzling success.
