About the artist:
Gims
Gandhi Djuna, known as Gims (formerly Maître Gims), is a Congolese singer-songwriter and rapper. After being a member of the hip-hop group Sexion d’Assaut, he pursued a solo career under the name of Maître Gims.
In 2013, this outstanding singer released his album entitled “Subliminal’ which sold more than a million copies and peaked at number two on the French albums chart. Then he launched his reissue: Subliminal la face cachée.
Subsequently, Gims returned to the rap verse, and released Le Fléau in 2020, followed by two reissues, in 2021. In 2022, he announced LDVM which will be released on December 2nd. Gims dominated the French singles chart four times, including once as a featured artist, most recently in 2018 with his song La Même which is the most listened to in France, making him the most played artist on French television and radio that year. Also in 2018, he was the 7th most played artist in the world on Deezer.
In September 2019, he officially became the first urban artist to fill the Stade de France with more than 72,000 spectators. During his career, he has worked with artists such as Sia, Pitbull, Lil Wayne, Stromae, Maluma, Sting and others. In 2017, he had already sold more than six million records, and currently more than eight million records
