About Côte d’Or National Complex

About Côte d’Or National Complex

It all starts with a dream: a dream to be healthy, a dream to be strong, a dream to be fast, a dream to be #1.

Cote d’Or National Sports Complex is the home of Mauritian sport and entertainment. Internationally certified 50m Swimming Pool, Football Stadium, Athletics Track and Sports Hall. Public Gym, High Performance Training Centre and events spaces.Their facility has been designed to provide an outstanding environment for athletes of all levels and abilities. Whether you’re a novice or a professional, reach your potential with Cote d’Or National Sports Complex.

In February 2018, the prime Minister of Pravind Jugnauth laid the foundation stone of the complex, which he called the “future jewel of the sports landscape of Mauritius”. The goal was for the complex to become an essential destination in the Indian Ocean and a sports hub of the region for international meetings. This complex also needed to be in line with the country’s “green” ambitions, leveraging solar panels and a rainwater harvesting system.

The aim of Cote d’Or National Sports complex is making sports more accessible to the greatest number of people possible, especially young people, enhancing the elite sporting scene in the country and producing world-class athletes. Another aim is to have a sports facility that met international standards to allow Mauritius to host international sports and cultural events in the future.

Côte d’Or National Sports Complex hosted many big events such as in 2019, the Jeux des Îles de l’océan Indien, summer multi-sport camp, concerts (Jason Heerah, Alain Ramanisum, Laura Beg), annual sports festival mauritius, workshop and many more !
