L’Institut Français de Maurice is part of the Institut français network, which is dedicated to promoting French culture abroad, including in Mauritius. Operating under the authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this entity is committed to encouraging cultural and linguistic diversity through exchange and cooperation programs spanning the realms of culture, ideas, knowledge, and science.

Since its establishment, IFM has positioned itself as an incubator for new forms of artistic expression. Its programming notably focuses on hosting young talents from the contemporary French artistic scene, as well as prominent figures who have made a lasting mark on the international artistic stage and continue to reaffirm their influence.

IFM shines with its plethora of artistic events.
