Bunker Rats
Formed in 2008 by Mike Fekno, The Bunker Rats has become a pillar of the rock scene in Mauritius. Their music, both energetic and sensitive, resonates strongly with those who live and breathe rock music.
The band has delivered a series of memorable performances, including the Island Tour in 2010 sponsored by Grays, and electrified audiences at major events such as the Underground Rock Festival in 2018 and Friday Live on MBC TV in 2019. More recently, they set the stage ablaze at Decibel Assault in November 2025.
Their debut album, launched in 2014 at the Conservatoire François-Mitterrand and officially released the following year, laid the foundation of their musical identity. Since 2020, the band has been working on their second album, promising new compositions that reflect their on-stage energy and creative evolution.
The current lineup features Brian on drums, Benyo on electric and acoustic guitars, Jérôme on bass, and Mike Fekno, the charismatic frontman, on vocals and electric guitar. Together, they deliver authentic and accessible alternative rock, appealing to both devoted rock fans and newcomers alike, while continuing to assert their place as one of the driving forces of Mauritian rock.
