Morigan

Morigan is a Mauritian alternative rock band that quickly established itself on the local scene with its unique sound and energy. Formed in 2015, the band originated from the meeting of Vincent Bega with former WeirdoZ members Alex Koenig, Olivier Koenig, and Julien Lafrésière. They soon realized they shared the same influences, discipline, and long-term vision.

In 2017, the line-up was completed with the addition of bassist Ryan Aldridge — bringing extensive international experience — solidifying the chemistry that defines Morigan today.

Influenced by Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Incubus, Rival Sons, and Alter Bridge, Morigan delivers a sound that is both powerful and melodic, driven by tight rhythms, layered guitars, and emotionally charged lyrics.

Their high-energy live shows and strong audience engagement have become a defining strength, consistently attracting diverse and well-attended crowds.

In 2022, Morigan released their debut single and lyric video, “King of the Town”, followed by “Trust in the Process” in 2025, offering listeners a glimpse into their evolving sound.

Although only a few tracks have been released so far, this reflects a deliberate commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Behind the scenes, Morigan has meticulously written and refined a body of work that will culminate in their upcoming album — a project that truly represents the depth, energy, and identity of the band.
