Lionkklash
Lionkklash is an artist whose wellspring of inspiration knows no bounds. With remarkable fluidity, he deftly juggles words, seamlessly fusing his art into perfect harmony. This unbreakable bond with his pen elevates a simple tale of youthful love into something profound and meaningful.
Emerging from humble beginnings with the Ghetto Boyz and OSB, Lionkklash swiftly carved out a name for himself, ascending to prominence in the slam scene (earning runner-up in Mauritius) and releasing his debut album ‘Sanzman D’Akor’. Under the guidance of his mentor, Dagger Kkila, Lionkklash has collaborated with notable figures such as Blakkayo, Eric Triton’s group Tritonic, Philippe Thomas, Menwar, and more recently, Babani Soundsystem and Fusional Mind.
As both a hard-hitting lyricist and a dynamic performer, Lionkklash embodies an eternal protestor through his verses. His style, consistently political, sometimes radical, but often poetic, steadfastly rejects fleeting trends.
His commitment is a testament to coherence, as he fearlessly exposes inequalities and offers a piercing portrayal of life in the neighbourhoods, providing a sharp lens through which to view Mauritian society and awakening consciences along the way.
