Vincent Brasse

As a devoted fan of his musician father, Vincent Brasse seized his first guitar at 16 and never looked back. Two years later, alongside his future Crossbreed Supersoul comrades Laurent and Guylain, the Blackburn brothers, he founded Free O’clock. This venture came to a halt in 2000 when their drummer, Nicolas Rochecouste, departed for South Africa.

Following a hiatus of over two years, Vincent found himself contemplating leaving music altogether until the Blackburn brothers rekindled his passion in 2003. Together, they birthed the legendary Mauritian rock outfit, Crossbreed Supersoul. In this epoch, Vincent penned hits like “Be Mine” and “Didapdap,” anthems embraced by an entire generation.

Throughout his Crossbreed journey, Vincent remained an avid explorer of musical genres, never tethered to a single trend. His influences spanned pop, rock, and electronic realms, from lifelong admiration for Jeff Buckley to fervent fandom for Radiohead, Coldplay, and Muse. Electronic luminaries like Moderat and Tale of Us also left an indelible mark on him.

This infatuation with electronic sounds culminated in collaborations with international DJs, including Animal Picnic and David Grana. The apex of these endeavours arrived in 2019 when Tale of Us featured his track “Burning House” in their After Life tour playlist, cementing his place in the electronic music scene.
