His journey in the music scene began at just 16, when he first made his mark as a dancer with the Street Brothers. In 1992, the group underwent a transformation, adopting the name Otentik Street Brothers and embracing the ragga muffin genre—a musical style still in its infancy in Mauritius at the time. Under Kool B’s leadership, OSB emerged as a trailblazer in the ragga scene, skillfully blending dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, rap, and a hint of seggae to craft a distinctive and innovative sound.

Bruno Raya is more than just a singer; he’s a dedicated artist whose music and lyrics boldly confront social injustices and abuses of power. With the contributions of Blakkayo, Tikenzo, and Dager Kila, each bringing their own unique flavor, the messages in his music resonate even more powerfully. This authenticity is what elevates Otentik Street Brothers (OSB) to legendary status on the local music scene. As the band’s heart and soul, Bruno infuses it with a spirit of commitment and strong values, creating an energy that transcends the music and leaves a lasting impact.

Notably, Bruno Raya is the visionary behind Live N Direk Entertainment, the driving force behind the renowned Festival Reggae Donn Sa.
