Manu Desroches
Emmanuel Desroches, Manu for those close to him, could always be found with a musical instrument in his hand. Since young, he could be found with a djembé in his hand and once his father gifted him a guitar, he started strumming the guitar and never stopped.
A young, curious and eager to learn more about music, Manu soon caught the attention of Yoan Catherine with whom they formed the duo , Klak in 2012, and allowed him to gain recognition. In 2012 itself, Manu left Mauritius and learned how to fine-tune his voice under the guidance of Ujjawal Singh Bhandari when he participated in the festival Aquajam. He was also mentored by Jean-Alain Roussel who helped him refine his skills as a guitarist. Soon Manu joined the group, Tritonik, which helped him discover the universe of blues music.
All these experiences helped Manu gain assurance and more confidence in himself and he got to composing his own music. Since then, he has gone solo as a singer and occasionally on the bass or guitar as well. His raw talent combined with his passion and incredible energy always impresses the public.
Manu can now be seen in many concerts and even performing several covers of famous hits. He has also collaborated with various local artists in recent years and released new titles to delight his fans.
