Justice Lecoq
Justice fell in love with music as a kid, inspired by the legendary Michael Jackson. Singing MJ’s songs, like “I’ll Be There,” became his thing after the King of Pop passed away. His dad noticed his talent and got him into the Star 2009 competition. Sadly, his dad’s death halted his musical journey.
Even after facing tough times from losing his father, Justice finished his exams at Collège de Curepipe. At just 17, he left school to work multiple jobs and support his family. Always a thinker, Justice questioned the norm since he was little.
Winning second place in Vibe Moris got him noticed by Linzy Bacbotte, who asked him to sing with her at hotel shows. When he was 19, he released ‘The Greatest Romance,’ an EP exploring his past through different music styles.
Hits like “Bizin Twa Mo Baba” and “Closer To Me” won the hearts of Mauritians, adding a magical touch to the music scene. His collab with Kumar from Raging Fayah on “Cross The Border” got praised, along with other hits like “Nouvo Lam,” “Soley Pou Leve,” and his unforgettable performance in the “Bonnto Session.”
