At the turn of the decade, from 1997 to 1998, Francois Li discovered DJing through the mixtapes of the era’s hottest hits. Inspired by the disco rhythms and iconic tracks of the 80s, he began to develop his unique style.

Self-taught and passionate, Francois honed his skills in the solitude of his bedroom, mixing on an old turntable purely for the joy of it. Driven to reach new heights, he soon ventured beyond his comfort zone, exploring diverse musical genres.

Francois started his journey playing at small birthday parties, weddings, and local nightclub events. His remarkable talent and determination quickly propelled him onto the stages of Mauritius’s largest festivals.

While he remains fond of the hits from the 80s to the 2000s, Francois has also embraced tech house and progressive house, expanding his musical repertoire.

Through relentless effort and years of practice, Francois Li has earned a reputation as a master of the warm-up, sharing the stage with legendary DJs like Tiësto and Martin Solveig at unforgettable house parties in Mauritius.
